Message from Patroness in Chief Begum Farrukh Mukhtar

First of all, I am thankful to Allah Almighty to give me the valor to struggle for social and economic empowerment of Women of South Punjab. I feel really honored to be the  Patroness-In-Chief of Women Chmber of Commerce & Industry Multan Division (WCCIM), a platform for women entrepreneurs and established businesswomen of South Punjab to connect, collaborate and commemorate their persuasive learning of trade and business. Women entrepreneurs often find themselves at the end of the value chain, not just in terms of employment, but also when it comes to access to knowledge, technology and the basic resources particularly finance – to do business. Adding to these barriers, women face very high level of stigma – a universal problem with their projects and ideas not given the same level of attention or simply ignored because of the fact it came from a woman. Therefore being a women chamber we take initiatives to advocate issues related to women’s economic empowerment and make them and the world to realize.Being aware of the talents of the women of this area and knew how their skills have been exploited at home and at work, I always have been determined and passionate to uplift and raise the living standard of these underprivileged women by providing them education, trainings and opportunities. WCCIM has enhanced the status of everyday home based businesses of women of the area, to a tremendously influential level by organizing many events like Blue Fairs, Exhibitions, Seminars, Summits and Symposiums.I would also like to appreciate the entire team of WCCIM for robust efforts for social and economic empowerment of women entrepreneurs of Multan and maximizing their national and global impact in trade and business.
